| Terms and Conditions Our inspection will be carried out in accordance with your instructions only and does not include areas/items outside of that instruction. Responsibility for failure to estimate on any inaccessible areas concealed by furniture, floor covering or paint work etc cannot be accepted by us. Our estimate/quotation allows for the work recommended by us, where specified only. If it is found whilst our work is in progress that other areas are in need of any additional work/repair, an additional estimate/quotation would be submitted. The client is to ensure that a supply of electricity and water is available. If it is necessary for us to Obtain a generator, a charge for hire would be made. Our company take no responsibility for buried/concealed pipe work or cables that may become damaged, during the removal of plasters/renders. Every reasonable effort will be made to avoid damage. If we experience a leak or broken cable the client will be notified, we will carry out repairs to such concealed services. This charge will be added to our final invoice, and is payable by the client. Should the client interrupt the work causing delay of completion or cancel part of the work whilst in progress, any loss to us due to workman's time, materials, travelling expenses etc. must be paid by the client. Our estimate/quotation allows for the removal for rubbish and debris accumulated by us only. Whilst every care will be taken no responsibility can be taken for any damage to decorations. No responsibility is accepted by this company for any blemish which may occur to polished floors, quarry tiles, floor covering, fitted carpets, tarmacadem etc, in any areas, which will be covered by us whilst carrying out our work. All monies for materials to be paid for in advance of start date all cheques to be made payable to Mr C Powell, and should reach our company by at least five working days prior to start date of work. Unless other arrangements have been made with our company. Payment is due in full on completion of the works and must be paid within 7 days of the date of the Invoice. Thereafter interest will be charged daily (annual rate of 11.75% APR) on any unpaid part of the invoice. In addition to the interest a compensation fee will also be charged as per national rates. If it is necessary for us to instruct a third party to take legal action to recover monies owing we reserve the right to withhold any materials purchased on the clients behalf. In some cases a percentage may be required before commencement of work or part payment required whilst our work is in progress. We reserve the right to withdraw our labour and materials until such payment has been received. Naturally the nature of our work creates Dust and Disturbance. And whilst every effort is made by Flat Pack Fitters to keep this to a minimum (by providing Dust covers, and polythene). We cannot be held responsible, for electrical goods or furniture, carpets left within areas of work. Neither can we be held liable for residue dust that settles elsewhere within the property. The client should take precautions to cover or seal up areas that maybe of concern. We cannot accept any responsibility for the renewal of ceiling cornices, external plinths etc, which it may be necessary to remove during the course of certain work. Further estimates may be given for the renewal of these items if requested. Every care will be taken during the removal of the skirting boards, however, some damage is unavoidable, particularly if they are decayed or fixed with cut nails. Should damage occur or decay is discovered you will be informed and if requested we shall submit a further estimate to supply and fit new timbers. Once a starting date has been issued for the commencement of work, a minimum of two working days notice is required should the issued date be postponed, altered or cancelled. Shorter notice or no notice will incur a fee to cover administrative costs occasioned to the company. Notification of any claim for alleged damage or complaint must be in writing within seven days of the completion of work. We shall not accept liability for any repairs carried out by a third part without our prior consent and acceptance of their quotation. Any parking permits required, to be supplied by client. Any extra work asked for whilst our company are on the premises will be estimated for and agreed with the client prior to any work commencing. |
